Quinn Murley has been spinning since he was 17. It all began when his mom thought it would be a good idea to take him to Burning Man before his senior year of high school. Upon seeing the community there and taking in the magic of fire performance, the pyromaniacal spark was lit in his heart and hasn’t died down since. His first prop was the traditional set of sock poi gifted to him by his friend, made from a pair of socks with tennis balls in them.

Quinn attended Lewis & Clark College beginning in 2016, where he joined the renowned Fire Arts Club. He pursued a degree in English to fulfill his life-long love of books. And anytime he wasn’t neck-deep in assigned reading, he was on the basketball court spinning fire with his comrades. There he expanded his repertoire to include a variety of fire props, and took a number of dance and theatre classes to supplement his performance style.
